OVERVIEW

My client a global travel company requires a CRO Manager with strong Google Optimize, A/B Testing and MVT  expertise to join them and support their Digital Performance team

The Scope

As a CRO Manager you will play a key role in improving our digital products through A/B testing, MVT and personalisation. It is a key role within the eCommerce team as you will have a direct impact on the customer and be at the core of a test and learn culture within the company.

CRO Manager Role

  •   Research: use research to give us a better understanding of our customers’ goals, needs and behaviours. This means using qual and quant methods and tools, such as Google Analytics, session replay, surveys and usability tests.
  • Find solutions: work with UX, design and other stakeholders to propose solutions to address problems found in research.
  •   Plan: write test plans and hypotheses, determine valuable metrics and design meaningful tests that add value and insights.
  •   Execute: run and monitor experiments. Ensure that data is being collected and the test is running as expected. Use your knowledge of statistics to identify the difference between noise in the data and a real result.
  •   Generate insights: use experimentation to give us deep and accurate insights into customer behaviour. Ensure that tests are designed to maximise insights into who our customers are and how they behave.
  •   Share: engage people in the business in testing and personalisation. We want to create a testing culture and mindset in the business, and sharing success, failures and stories helps us to do that. You’ll present, discuss and hold workshops with stakeholders and senior management.
  •   Think-ahead: help us innovate and set a vision for testing and personalisation. For example, using machine learning and server-side testing to advance what we do.

Experience Required

  •   At least 3 years working in optimisation and/or personalisation, ideally on ecommerce sites.
  •   Hands-on experience using Google Analytics, A/B testing and personalisation tools, VoC surveys, session replay. Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Sketching and wireframing experience.
  •   A good knowledge of statistics. This means understanding sample sizes, statistical power, significance and when a test result is meaningful.
  •   Understanding how data management platforms and customer data platforms can aid personalisation.
  •   Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally.
  •   An understanding of machine learning and artificial intelligence would be an advantage.
  •   To share our passion for innovation and how testing and personalisation is evolving.
  •   To be organised and methodical in your approach to testing. This means calculating sample sizes, writing sound hypotheses based on insights, having a rigorously scoped test plan and documenting results.
