A fantastic opportunity has arisen with our global leading financial services partner are looking to appoint a Cloud Assessor to help support the Chief Technology & Risk Officer deliver best in class cloud practices, design and security.

With the introduction of the Cloud in recent years and going through a technology evolution there’s an amazing scope to introduce architecture thought leadership and be immersed in some incredibly exciting projects.

They are scaling their Technology Risk team and looking to attract people who take real passion in their work and be understanding to challenges that their clients face in the ever-changing technological landscape.

Cloud Assessor opportunity

This is an role where you can make a big splash with an opportunity for you play a key part in helping their clients projects realize their full potential across mature and emerging global markets, providing innovative solutions across a diverse range of products and services.

As Cloud Assessor you’ll consider application & infrastructure risk assessments to identify security issues in existing and new systems and agree corresponding actions to mitigate or accept risks.

You’ll assess products, services and infrastructure, partnering Business and Technology teams in helping them understand their technology risks and influencing their risk management decisions.

Cloud Assessor responsibilities 

  • Review and audits of Cloud projects, POC and production reviews and deliver value-driven reports for senior leadership and management of Risk and ICT.
  • Specialise in review of industry-leading SAAS services.
  • Perform Cloud supplier reviews (like IBM, Microsoft, Amazon, others) for its various services including SAAS, IAAS, PAAS.
  • Develops and contributes to Cloud baseline and assessment requirements based on practical experience and financial services industry best practices.
  • Risk reduction solutions catalogue based on practical experience, learnings from solutions and pipeline of reviews.

Cloud Assessor attributes / skills

  • Deep understanding and experience in ICT security audits with at least last 2 years focus on review and audit of strategic Cloud projects, cloud workloads in production and cloud suppliers
  • Cloud Architecture certified ideally in IBM, AWS or Microsoft Azure
  • Hands on experience with cloud security solutions of cloud service providers, large and new vendors
  • Combination of deep technical skills and business savvy enough to interface with all levels
  • Demonstrable record of accomplishment of dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in a dynamic environment
  • Working knowledge in JavaScript and server less application development in the cloud
